The average raindrop takes 1.5 minutes to hit the ground.

An average human falls to the ground at 125mph.

maybe so, I can imagine the old love handles on a fat piece reducing velocity

Great "Googling" and cunning use of a question mark to make us all believe you actually knew the answer

You wont decelerate during a long fall

You reach a constant terminal velocity where you reach a constant speed the friction due to air rushing over clothes, love handles, huge fat beer belly, open screaming mouth etc causes a constant braking effect which is unfortunately not enough.

However you will find that you do decelerate at the end of the fall, somewhat quickly and often with a soggy splattering sound

Incidentally in vacuum a feather will fall as fast as an elephant will fall, the elephant hovever will make slightly more mess on hitting the ground

Hey Unc, I reckon that a huge belly would actually be an aid in accelerating to terminal velocity as quickly as possible by giving an aerodynamic profile.

I knew this bezz would come in handy one day!!

Turns out a Tuna was caught in the nets of a trawler in the channel yesterday.

ive heard of a swordfish being washed up on the beach. not sure which beach tho, but it made news in the papers. also a story of a sighting of the rare great white shark of the cornish coast and was estimated to be around fifteen foot in length . THAT is only a baby in comparison with the size they can or is believed they can attain, which is around 23-25 feet in length!!!!!!!!!! and around 1-1/2 -2 ton in weight, possibly more . hmmmmmmmmmmmmm what hook size is recommended for these absolute whackers?
for those people who have holidays in the mediteranean, it is KNOWN FACT that it is a breeding ground for GREAT WHITES, around the area of MALTA, so ladies and gents watch were you are swimming!!!!

LOL Indeed it would it would also cushion the impact for about 1 nanosecond till you turned into chunky pate

Mind you the whopping great crater left behind could be turned into a memorial commercial carp puddle too Call it 'The Mongument' and your rellys could charge grieving punters a fortune to fish it
