First frost round here this morning, pretty heavy to.
How do you think the first couple of frosts affect carp fishing.?

Ice on the Goldfish Pond down here in Zummerzet this morning; the frosty weather will affect carp anglers more than the carp and hopefully thin their numbers out a bit. (the carp anglers - not the carp)

Didn't affect those in sniffs, bouncin for fun they were.

That white crispy stuff.. yeah that's it.

If the carp have read the same books/articles as me the first frosts should slow the fishing down a bit then when the carp reaclimatise themselves go back to normal

But in reality in recent years i have found the first frosts the kiss of death,maybe i'm just getting old and not tryin hard enough

Over the last 6 years I've done well evening fishing in November when the temperature drops very quickly, also done well in mornings with a sudden temperature rise.

Nov. 17 to 19 is nearly always frosty at night.

mid afternoon seems best for me, but then again thats when i normally get up with it being white outside!
