you might have been on, but I cannot remember seeing you. but was I there too! Whos this great big bear trying to clean up the west? Would he be needin assistance? The forty in smiths came out 14 years ago in a dream I had. It travelled into forign parts. Now if that fish was still in then maybe it would have reached forty by now. the man to take that water apart is wolfy, forget the rest hes the man. Anyone seen the 'Spook on there recently'?

yo Scummycarp

I wouldnt bovver on smiffs if i was u mate as u seem like a bit of an Wep.Smiffs is a megasolid total headbanger of a water that requires some serious time and the ability to "swoop" on a hot swim the minuit it becomes available.u will probably feel more at home on Pendle veiw mate.

its called smiths, because the road next to it is called smiths road, after a John Smith the bitter man. It also use to have a dangerous explosives works close to it that blew up one day killing many in the 18th century. ICI also had an explosion their too which scared the hell out of me. A few men died in the factory. It has been their since the late seventeenth century when it was split into four the factory was then also part of it. It was also the scene of the slaughter of several families when the royalist took Bolton in 1643.The lake also rest on prehistoric fossil beds fossils can be found in the area especially on the banks of smiths ie anglers. The entire valley was once a giant lake with God knows what kind of fish lurking about. Steam engines also ran past the lake at one time. A canal also ran close by, so it was once an hive of activity unlike today where you can study the strange breed of carp anglers with there occasional movements but mostly inactivity. The small pool also holds a good head of bream to double figures. The main lake is excellent for passing time away doing naff all. Once in a spell of blanking I waded out found umpteen fish all huddled together, caught two decided it was too easy that way and went back to bank fishing where I blanked for another day. Hey dont worry I saw the whites of your eyes peeping out of the camo just like THE Predator.
