How often do you change yours?
After every fish?
At the start of each session?
When you can be bothered to?

Normally the start of each session, cause I don't catch any fish !!! However when i do catch I change them then as well. Unless im on a pasty water bagging up, then i change them when they turn over or they feel blunt, to expensive to change them every fish then !! .

the answer to this is much deeper than the question....
I change hooks depending on what I find when commencing fshing, and depending on bait/bottom choice, I will then change hooks if a fish is caught, but I will also check hook on each retrieve just to check the point.

Thats about the same as me. But i dont change after every fish, if the hook is still good after a fish, why change it.

What about the different kinds of sharpness
as simondo says sticky sharp but then there is that kind of sharpness that you just don't feel glide into the skin but the other kind of sharp that goes in very easily but with a slight jaggy feeling ,which do you call sticky sharp ?
Also which do you think is best ?

As far as changing hooks ,I just change them when they feel fooked or when a different sort of rig is needed.
But I do spend alot of time trying to suss out what really is sharp and whats not,
with the resulting fingers thst look like pin cussions

Cheers
Saul

Saul,I would say nash fangs are "sticky sharp" whereas ashima etc penetrate more smoother.
When you guys sharpen your hooks,do you think they are as strong or as tough as a new hook?

I suppose I'm like Harv, fish for quantities on a doubles water, and keep the same hook, within reason...but go after the 20's on a harder water, bet your life the hook is well inspected.
