Lol is a very good carp angler.
He used a bait boat on Hawk when I fished there and that pissed a lot of people off, including myself, who didn't approve and to this day still feel it is important to cast yourself to the fish and no other methods are acceptable. Including rowing a boat out on Wraysbury to drop the rigs/baits as so many of todays 'big names' did.....

We knew Lol was a good angler because he knew exactly where on Hawk in any swim to 'drop' the rig and baits with his boat...but when the batteries went he was off.....

He'd have had full respect if he'd just cast out....D:

Paul.. Lol is a very good carp angler.
He also used he's bait boat on Clifton for the Pike when it was a prolific 20's water in the mid eighties.. Edge at the time?
Lol was an good angler before bait boats were invented.. simple as.
He returned to Clifton only a couple of years ago (without a baitboat) and caught from the off..
'Watercraft' doesn't always require batteries.

Loc: in a nutshell suit
i agree tudge, missed this, getting ready to watch war of the worlds last night..

anyway,he fished for all fish and mastered everykind sportingly, maybe he used a boat to catch some fish on a lake he didn`t want to spend the rest of his life on,he dosent require a medal and he knows it!!!

...sometimes people/locals don`t like an outsider to come along and knock `em out in front of everyone, easily.lol thought it wouldn`t be long before the pressure of this became too much and devised a way to get the fish he required quickly sharpish, carpers are bitches...and i`d say well done lol!!!!!
