got to agree with analimal on this one
the hardest place i have ever fished is the top canal at bolton plenty of people come and have a go and then skulk off with there tails between there legs
am not bothered thow for it gives me more chance of that uncaught 40
my second choice would be gawsworth hall in macc

What colours the sky in your world mate ?..

I'd agree with Colemere...solid

and although i have never fished there myself, i hear the Deer Park can be a bit tricky to say the least

Ok JD if you know where this fish resides in said canal, (I would guess between mid basin and the narrow bit around the corner!!!) be sure of its size it is a long fish and quite deep but it lacks in weight. You could find that it weighs around twenty eight. However if you are sure it is bigger and you know its general location, send me text and I will meet you there to take a look. If the water is crystal clear we should spot it. But i think its the twenty eight. If I am wrong then I will show you how to catch your monster carp.

Redesmere - gotta be up there defo, due to the pure fustration of being hemmed in alot of the time and not being able to move on to fish or whatever...i would'nt quite call catching them piss easy either.

Cole and another of the Shropshire meres, Deer park , yes , can vouch for them, certainly the hardest for me.

Who can say?, waters are hard for so many different reasons, for different anglers styles of fishing, day only fishing, sheer size and lots of natural coupled with low stock, lots of pressure, wise fish, etc etc

They're all hard !!

Come on Beak(sticks and stones)
Hav never fished the gaff BUT i would not call it HARD from what i hav been told the problem is just gettin on the fish, just look at the lads who in the past hav had the time to fish they always end up with quite a few under there belt.
QUESTION
How many fish hav the top rods for the past 4 seasons finished with??
