They split their time between Poplars and Birch - the Poplars cats were extremely active, especially early week.
The 3-angler party moved onto Birch Wednesday, and had common carp to 34lb from Birch, which had produced several 30's the week before.
Carp were active on Poplars from Thursday night - but no one was fishing for them, I understand, after they caught six fish on Wednesday from Birch, which meant the party stayed.

Don't worry Dave, you'll catch loads of carp from Poplars!

I thought regulars to my lakes at Breton would be interested to see how the new lakes which open in 2006 are shaping up!

Previously Peter's Pool was only fished by bailiffs, but it will be open to clients next year. Here's a pic of me fishing the Pool last week, where I caught 16 fish to mid-20's in very limited fishing time. Only up to two carp anglers will be allowed on Peter's.



And here is the new lake, looking down towards the island and the water and bays beyond. This has been stocked with silver fish and cats with the stocking of the carp to take place in late October. These have been ordered and will contain fish over 40lb.
It's been christened Eagle Lake, due to the birds of prey that circle it during the daytime hours.
Up to three carp anglers will be allowed to fish Eagle at any one time.



Both lakes will be let as a single exclusive venue to up to four responsible carp anglers. Eagle Lake & Peter's Pool. Two on each lake, or three on Eagle, one on Peter's.

Price will be £600 in total for the two venues i.e. £150 each, if four fishing.

Facilities on-site will be a chalet with shower, English w.c., cooker, mains electricity etc. If you want to book a week for 2006 PM me on here!
