Casting is bloody easy but how the hell do you land a fish climb a tree & get a freind to net it ?

You'd need a very, very, long handle on your landing net and it would be very a interesting spectacle in the dark!!

I find my mainline is as good as anything m8..

GR60 (clear)...

Flourocarbons....leave em in the shop's..

I for one have still not worked out how to land a carp on a 24ft hooklink...?

It's all good this "in theory" stuff..putting things into practice is a different matter..

Use a sunk float in similar fashion to a marker float set up, except thread the line thro the float and stop it with a swivel. Attach a hooklink upto 1m long with the desired floating bait to the swivel and cast out feathering the line as the rig hits the water to ensure the hooklength doesnt tangle. By releasing/retracting line off the spool you can adjust the depth of the hookbait. I usually start from scratch 1m off the bottom and work upwards. On Waters where the fish can sometimes show themselves on the surface during winter, upon doing so, ive then raised the bait to 1' below the surface and sometimes had takes.

I usually used Diawa sensor for hooklenths.

Easy this one, coil the hook length it into a mug/bait box/bait bucket whatever, I've done it with a 9' foot Zig, no reason it cant be done with an 18' hook link , and before you say B****X, TRY IT, IT WORKS !!!!.

NB....look at the way they coil the line attached to a harpoon, same principle, BUT, the coils DO NEED laying VERY carefully
