Come on then Bomber, tell me about the Weaver I've fished it for 15 years or so and live two minutes away. I get to hear most of the bulls..... I mean rumors, most are from noddys or matchmen, who seem to catch the whackers, although every now and then you do get to hear of one that is actually true

the rumours of 40's from marbury and ossmere are always good for a laugh,but the weaver common is a classic....the matchmen in the area all still believe its true....lol

Large Carp: Unfished Water

I used to live in the wirral. About 15 years or so ago, I put a small mirror carp in my back garden plastic liner pond. Given the fact I initially fed it on a diet of trout pellets and Monster pursuit crumb, I suspect this fish now is at the very least an upper thirty. It would probably go just over 40 at the right time of year.

if your talking carp rumors on the wirral what about 'the mystery' in hargraves lane? or bibbys lake? or the duckery near ledsham....they've all got 40's in...lol
