Very good post bait doctor... The reason that there is so much openess in the group is that members are not worried that if they ask a question or impart a little knowledge that it will end up being the latest thing on sale in the shop!!

Some of the Rotary letter discussions can get quite involved, I, for one, would not like to see any 'opening up', political involvement or any adjustment to the status quo..

The group is what it is because it has no politics.. it is restricted, it has no constitution.. it is simply a group consisting of experienced carp anglers who meet and share experiences....
Tim has been a member for a couple of years.. maybe, before he goes into print, he should guage other member's views first..
The BCSG has input into many areas... SACG, for instance, but it does not, and cannot, speak for all its members on ANY issue.. as the criteria for joining are based on merit, NOT what you personally think of any one issue in carp angling..
