I've had a couple of mid doubles from ************* (the place with no name!!!). Steve B's done well, last I'd heard he'd done 3 20s and his PB twice since starting to fish it in April. We're on the same bait, I showed him the rigs I was using and offered advice about the lake....and he's outfishing me 3 to 1!!! I'll not be going for a while now, the Mrs is due to hatch the sprog any time now, so I've been "advised" not to plan any fishing till July!!! Hopefully they will have spawned by then and be back on the feed. I couldn't go this week anyway, water pump went on the car. Knocked out the timing belt too. It ain't gonna be cheap. Just hope I have it back for Friday, got a job interview in Grimsby at Youngs Bluecrest. Fingers crossed for ne?

Im afraid to say Pete outfished me big style.....3 20s to my blank. I went in there and battered the place the first 2 weeks....now there getting there revenge on me!! Kev....looks like there nicely on the our bait...been watching them scoff it up in the shallows. Next big rolling session probably end of June...then there will be 3 of us on CJs seceret (not so) little round balls. I must say the place (u know where I mean) is looking very carpy at the moment...all nice and green 'n that.

Has anyone on here joined Wold Valley? I had a look and just didnt fancy fishing in Pea Green Soup! By all accounts there are still places left out of the 25 available. The guy running it said I could pay in instalments the £300 joining fee......seems their desperate to fill it. I know some of the lads say its got potential, but looking at it, the water is devoid of any serious weed growth etc.....not what I would call a rich water to grow fish on.

Steve, The water at the Valley is FAR from being Pea Green!!In fact it is quite a clear lake!! Fair enough if you don't wanna join the lake but don't come on here slagging it off!!I have spoke to the syndicate leader and he told me you were not offered a deal to pay the membership in insalments!!And i know for a FACT that they are not pleased at all with you slagging the place off!! WOLD VALLEY WHAT!!!!!! Excuse me Steve why have you written that total and utter crap about Wold Valley? I don't mind people making Criticisms about our lake if they have good reason too. What you have writ down is total and utter lies. One if you took your head out of your a**e when walking around you would have found the lake was not like pea soup but totally the opposite. You could not have missed the crystal clear stream what feeds the valley therefore making the water quite clear. TWO were did you get this c**p that we said you could pay in instalments what total and utter bull nobody pays in instalments. THREE I heard about you a long time before I took over the valley by numerous people and if you had of contacted me about looking around the place I would most defiantly have said no. I/we want people who can get on with other anglers know how to look after fish and certainly do not slag other people off behind there backs. I am hoping that not many people listen to your underhand comments and take you for what you really are. Any anglers on the warehouse are invited to have a look at the lake obviously by appointment you can then make your own judgements about the valley. youngy

steve, lets get a few things straight here about you and the valley, firstly, when you first rang me up you couldnt give me your money fast enough, bearing in mind you havent even seen the lake that put a serious doubt in my mind as to how much of a competent carp angler you are, nobody in there right mind would pay without seeing a venue. secondly...unless you had a ski mask over your head you were at the totally wrong lake wold valley doesnt remotely resemble pea green soup,it never has done and never will do,like my partner said if you bother to open your eyes you would have seen it was fed by a natural stream and out of a sluice gate at the other end(another reason to doubt your angling capabilities). thirdly....this lake has the gubbings of producing big fish(which it will do)any sensible carp angler would be able to tell this just by looking at the place,it is naturally fed and is basically a larder for the fish(another reason to doubt you) fourthly....we are not desperate to fill our syndicate in the first few weeks of opening, for the simple reason we want anglers who can see the place how it will be in five years time and not with people who carnt see past their nose. wold valley is for people with some insight and vision and not fly by night muppet anglers who havent got a clue what they are talking about. im afraid to say steve, you definetly fall into the latter part of this and this is why if you had botherd to phone me you would have found that you were not accepted by myself or martin so in future steve if you want to slag off a water make sure you have a clue what you are talking about regards glen.watmough

as already stated steve, you obviously walk about with your head up your a**e because the water in the valley is next to gin clear ,and the green that you could see was from the weedgrowth that you said doesnt exist, clown. Unfortunately i may have been the one that gave you the inclination to take a look with a view to membership, thank god you were rejected, and rejected you were (big time) By the way, steve has just joined mesters ?(or so he says) and hes slagging of all you scunny guys too, looks to me as no-one wants him on there waters , he also pulled of manton coz it did his head in and the lads were w*****s,not you tho steve ay ? Also while im on a roll the guys you have name dropped to me with reference to them all being your "fishing buddies" ha ha ha cheers J.B

There`s a thread in Forum News called Probelms logging in. Basically the cookie that lets you log on automatically to FW stored on your machine is corrupted. Here are the details. This forum uses 'cookies' that are used to let members use the site.
If you are having problems logging in. . . or out. . . 'cookies' are normally the problem.
It is easy to fix!
All you need to do is clear your existing cookies off your browser. To do this just follow one of the following;
Internet Explorer 6 - Windows 98: - In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options. - On the General tab, click Settings, and then click View files. - Click "Name" at the top of the column to put the files in alphabetical order. - Select the cookie from "www.fishingwarehouse.co.uk", it should be titled something like: Cookie:yourname@www.fishingwarehouse.co.uk - Select the cookie you want to delete, and then, on the File menu, click Delete.
Windows XP ***ALL BROWSERS*** - Look under C:\Documents and Settings\your user name*\cookies *the username you're logged onto your computer as, NOT your username for this forum.
- Select the cookie from "www.fishingwarehouse.co.uk", it should be titled something like: Cookie:yourname@www.fishingwarehouse.co.uk and delete it.
Netscape 4.7 - Windows Go into the programfiles/netscape/users/YourComputerLoginName/ and edit my cookie.txt file.
Widnows 98 - On the desktop, click on "Windows Explorer" - On the left side fo the screen, scroll down to your C drive - Click on the + sign (if there is a - sign there, the contents of your C drive are already displayed) - Scroll down to "Windows" - Click on the + sign - Scroll down to "Temporary Internet Files" - At this point, you can either delete all your temporary files, or scroll down on the right hand side of the screen til you find the ThisSite cookies and delete just those.
Internet Explorer 5 - Macintosh: - Select "Preferences" from the "Edit" menu. - Select "cookies" under "Receiving Files" from the list at the left. - In the list on the right, select the cookies files from "www.fishingwarehouse.co.uk" (There could be as many as 4; w3t_key, w3t_language, w3t_myid, and w3t_mysess) - Click "Delete" - Click "OK"
Nescape 4.6 - Macintosh: - Go to the "finder" (Macintosh Operating System). - On your hard drive, open Your "System Folder" - Open the "Preferences" folder. - Open the "Netscape Users" folder - Open the folder for your name (ex. "Joe Smith") - Drag the file titled "MagicCookie" to the trash can.
Netscape 6 - Macintosh: - Select "Preferences" from the "Edit" menu. - Click the little triangle next to "Privacy & Security", then click on "Cookies" - Click "View Stored Cookies" - If you click on "Site" at the top of the list it will sort them by site. - Scroll down to and select the cookies from "fishingwarehouse.co.uk" (There could be as many as 4; w3t_key, w3t_language, w3t_myid, and w3t_mysess) - Click on "Remove Cookie" - Click "OK"
----------------------------------
If still a problem please send an e.mail to admin@fishingwarehouse.co.uk
----------------------------------
Cookies can become corrupt for many reasons and sometimes for no reason at all .
The most common things that corrupt a cookie are as follows. . . so you can avoid the problem in the future.
If you log in to fw using Explorer AND another version browser the cookies become confused and will be corrupted.
If your computer is set to the wrong date, being time sensitive, they will corrupt.
If you are logged in on a computer 'live to the internet' say at work or home. Then the cookie becomes confused and will be corrupted.

hello yeah it has been fully booked all through the week. try something different most people on there use trigger as it going in all the time use a differnt bait ie mainline with a glug in a pva bag and smaller hooks like an eight or ten. a lot of people fish the carpark area or easy access pegs take your trolly and walk to an out of the way part of the lake there are plenty of hot swims very fishy looking all over the place. good luck youngy

Stew It was indeed matey. I wasn't expecting so many fish to be on top but enjoyed feeding 'em chummies for a few hours.Had 3 out of my syndicate lake to 21.10. Nice result for you after a slow start to your session Cheers BB

Pete,
Your 30 has come out again to Rik at 32:00, Daz said its condition has improved since its last visit to the bank. Ps If ur down there take some strong hooks/links etc and be prepared to lose a few in the green stuff (its really coming up) there really up for feeding at the moment! Spent 3 days on last week 9 runs....5 weeded up, 4 landed 11:04, 17:08, 23:08, 24:12...all stunners. Also ive only seen 1 angler on there in the last 2 weeks.

Club committees don't you just love em , as ever the match men are complaining about their weights, so in their wisdom they have a policy of stock, stock and a little more stock, anyone who has fished Frod over the years will know it is not a bagging water, it is a lovely mature lake that holds some good fish in it, generally you have to work at it to get results, the coarse fish are generally in tip top condition esp the big roach, but with the amount of bagging waters that have sprung up over the last 5-10 yrs it's what the match lads have been used to, until they fish Frod! Sadly i think they are going down the same route, i still have the Trent to look forward to

mmm, time will tell if these fish cause problems or not there seems to be too much emphasis these days on how much money can be earned rather than building a decent fishery but like the rest of the so called fishery managers that have come and gone, they will all learn the hard way in my book its quality rather than quantity
