I see App Frod has had it's usual yearly stocking, though this time they have decided to stock both ponds, the main lake has received some 500 small carp and the match lake 1500! Just when i thought this could be getting a decent fishery in terms of weight gains and size of carp, they go down the road of stocking it to the hilt with small pasties (1oz to 1lb), sadly when i fished it a fortnight ago that was unknown to me, to be my last time fishing the place , good luck Frod committee.

cal,
when did they stock it,would be interested to know
on a lighter note, did richmond sunday tea till tuesday, wanted to get on the big lake but it looked like a bleeding camp site and couldnt find a quiet spot anywere
ended up on the back lake and ended up with a couple of doubles, biggest 15.4lb..
come midnight on monday night the buggers decided to start spawning so packed up early doors and left them to it

Club committees don't you just love em , as ever the match men are complaining about their weights, so in their wisdom they have a policy of stock, stock and a little more stock, anyone who has fished Frod over the years will know it is not a bagging water, it is a lovely mature lake that holds some good fish in it, generally you have to work at it to get results, the coarse fish are generally in tip top condition esp the big roach, but with the amount of bagging waters that have sprung up over the last 5-10 yrs it's what the match lads have been used to, until they fish Frod! Sadly i think they are going down the same route, i still have the Trent to look forward to

NODDIES;Always will be the same,15 year ago they,d have wanted all the carp out!("keep snapping me line")now they ca,nt put enough in(need big wieght, like at sands")one consellation though the pike and cormerants will get fat!. dont think these fish will cause a problem somehow! ENJOY IT!.

mmm,
time will tell if these fish cause problems or not
there seems to be too much emphasis these days on how much money can be earned rather than building a decent fishery
but like the rest of the so called fishery managers that have come and gone, they will all learn the hard way
in my book its quality rather than quantity
