Anyone know any decent lakes or clubs for carp in the Hertfordshire region? I want to join a new club now once the season starts again. Can anyone recommend a place?

RMC have got the Stanstead Abbots complex, and the Amwell syndicate lakes

Not tried Stanstead Abbots, but have fished at Fishers Green.

Also clubwise there's Watford Piscatorials, or Hook Lake that used to be run by Richard Stangroom I think, there was a link to it from one of the Angling sites
In the Braintree area of Essex Billericay and Disrict have a few lakes that are nice and quiet

Boxmoor District Angling, Hemel Hempstead, nice place, think its got around 20 20's and one 30...
Smallford in StAlbans on Verlum ticket
Hook Lake (www.hooklake.com), nice water, challenging though.

The Kings Arms fishing Club gives you access to 8 lakes in the lea valley and these range from easy to hair pulling hard. Top ticket for the money £74 and drops the second year to £54. Give Simpsons of Turnford a ring and they will put you on the right track.
