I really find it hard to understand that with the modern technology of the internet, giving people acess to views from such good anglers such as some others on this forum that people such as your goodslef still believe all the hype and general Bullsh1t that comes out with each new wonder bait each year. Come on guys wake up and get making some of your own. Ther is enough info on this site alone for you to never have to buy an over priced, overhyped, overused boilie from a shop again

Over Priced ?

I think you'll find its one of the cheaper commercial baits available.

As for making my own base mixes i'd rather leave that to those who know what there doing. My fishing time is very limited due to family and work comitments. I want a bait that I have total confidence in and thats the source just like i have total confidence in any of there products.

Lets what and see the results will speak for themselves.

I do make my own fishmeal bait. However there is a world of difference between making a cheap fishmeal and making a good fishmeal bait. By the time I have bought all the base ingredients, plus attractors, flavours etc my mix works out about £5 a kilo. Its not dirt cheap because Im not buying stuff 50kg at a time, as the average carp angler isnt. If I buy 10kg of source dry mix then that works out £5.60kg without any of the aggro, just walk into shop, pick up bucket, pay, walk out...easy. Ive no doubt that it contains ingredients just the same as mine, and mine catches fish, so Im gonna use it. I dont see it as a new wonder bait, but I bet its better than a lot of the [censored] people catch on.

Good point what is better for the Fish the Source or a cheap fishmeal mix made on the cheap to save about 60p a kilo.

Look at the interest its got already. You know it will be a winner.

I dont see the point in buying any ready rolled bait. For two reasons, Firstly Ive had some really bad bags of frozens in my time, especially active8. So I wont pay £10 for crap when I can buy the same base mix for half the price. Secondly I dont hold with this, I'd rather be on the bank business, to roll a couple of kilos of bait only takes half an hour, I do it in the week when the missus is watching eastenders.

I'm sure this is a good bait, but I for one wont be using it. At the end of the day it is very reasonably priced, comes with good recommendations and you can therefore guarantee there will be masses of the stuff going into lakes up and down the country.

For me that's a good enough reason to use something different to hopefully give me an edge.

Does that really hold true though? You could equally say that what we all want to acheive is carp feeding confidently on our bait. Therefore if they see and eat alot of something it stands to reason they may feed better on it that something they are not as used to.

Scuse me Klewless.

If you take the time to read my post instead of barging in, you will see I said, ...Terry has 100% cred - as you see him using.....modified hooks, even when he has patterns out with his name on. Implying that, if his cred was less than 100%, he would say he used a G4 even if he didnt.

Apology accepted in advance, thanks

I can't understand all this 'roll your own bait' business??

Surely making your own good quality fishmeal bait isn't gonna be alot cheaper than buying the 'source'!!

The reason i'm off on the source is its just what i'm after in a bait!a low flavour fishmeal, that will work in the short and long term!!

There's the people who say that you get more satifaction from catching on a bait you rolled yourself,do these people grow there own sweetcorn and hemp(some prob do)!no i doubt it,but the capture still means the same to you i bet!
