I am looking for a new water in either of these areas, looking to pay £200 - £250 for the season.

A lake with a few thirties would be nice, but if not, I need to be targeting upper 20 pound fish.

If anyone has any suggestions please reply

That post is a total contridiction of its self m8, large lake with a few 30s and Yorkshire just do not go in the same sentance!
Not a large lake, but try Tyram Hall, got a mid 30 in it, about £250, im sure someone on here knows more about it then I do.

I know about the run of the mill bivvy city nightmares, I was hoping that someone would be kind enough to let me in on a secret, or confirm a rumour that I have heard.

Mmm, you could be close their Caperjake, i keep hearing the big common has grown legs and done another runner to a home not so far down the road, quite close to messingham, if this is true then i will take it further thats for sure!

Along with a few other notable 20lb fish, it's not on!

Correct Kev, i believe it has gone to a new 'holme', shame really as the big common was one of my target fish for this year, as for AF !Cheques in the post!

Fished Wentworth Morley Lake from 2000-2002, found it very boring, caught a good few but very boring indead. Many of the big fish don't seem to want to play ball. To my knowledge there has not been a thirty out since the 1999 season. Obviously sparking rumours of fish going walkies into the 2nd dam for instance.
Currentley on Lound wind surf lake, had fish to 27+, but again a very boring lake.
Fished Tyram for a couple of seasons 5-6 years ago, had fish to 30+, but found it a bivvy city place especially at weekends which is when I do most of my fishing
Appart from that it's mainly 3 Lakes, Richmond, Sally Walshes, but all are stitched up beyond belief, apart from maybe Richmond, which might be worth a bash if it is true about the thirties that have been caught lately.
No, the rumour has nothing to do with Ficklings place or Messingham Sands chaps.
First chap to that gets warm or hits the nail on the head I will PM.

Cheers Chaps

Not APP-FROD ponds by any chance is it? How on earth the fish have grown on to what they have in that water is beyond me, esp with the commitee men they have, if they aren't catching then lets re-stock it with some more fish brigade, this could be a fantastic club water in a carp anglers eyes, but then again it is a CLUB water!

" i tried my hardest not to put "digit's on keyboard" on this thread/post""as most of the rumours that are circulating in this area at the moment are "rife" "as with all new fisheries that start up""where did that 35lb'er "come from "etc etc etc"(home grown/pilchered/bought/netted from defunct/to be filled in lakes etc etc ???????),if the "fish" that have grown leg's" turn up "elsewhere!!!!,then that to me is a very "SAD" position to be in as they have given myself and a few "honoured others" the pleasure of posing with them .
i wonder if "S.V.C" will be included in the priceas the weather warm's up later in the year

Not APP-FROD ponds, this lake has current stock that has been in there years by all account. Again by all account a previous nightfishing ban that has been in force for years has meant that this lake has been forgot about. I have heard that the new owner is planning to stock some whackers that come with health cert etc...

Come on lads please confirm for me I am sure that somebody knows something surely.

Well Leem give a clue as Lincs/Yorks is bloody big area to cover by guessing.
Barton`s got the odd unfished private lake or two left. Westfield lakes for instance could throw up a surprise if the owner ever decided to open it to anglers again.

The place is called Lindholme lakes, I think, and is not in any way linked to Tyram Hall. Somebody must have some dirt on this place surely.
If I can't get any dirt on the place then I'll have to join it as the new owner is loaded and has plans for the place. Heres what I got so far:

Cost: £250 for year
Membership: 25 no more, no less.
Size: 10-15 acres
Lake Type: old mature lake, not a freshley dug puddle, very quiet place, no railway lines or major roads nearby.
Stock: Currently not alot, fish to 28+ with chance of a scraper 30. apparentley the new owner is a going to stock some big, good quality fish with certs etc...

Any other info would be appreciated.

Lindholme - The larger lake is a noted tench water and there was or still is a winter pike syndicate. The carp levels are low and i thought the intention was by the previous owner to use the small day ticket stockie water as a feeder lake for the bigger water.
I know John of Chappies at Scunny fished it upto last year at any rate so it might be worth calling in at the shop.
You might have to wade thru some quality tench.

I would say the new owner will have to have the fish in place and well settled before asking lads to part company with 250 beer vouchers but there`s no harm in putting your name down.

Isn't Baston opening again this year? Paul from Sheffield drives across, that's not much further than Rotherham, is it? Might be worth a go.

I know where Baston is, the topic's called "Yorkshire/Lincolnshire carp water info please" and it IS in Lincolnshire.

Bainton's an option if you can get in, which is highly unlikely.
