ROLO Enthusiastic FW Member Registered: 07/01/02 Posts: 180 Loc: West Yorkshire	Alrite Boys, Hope things are good? At the moment we seem to be hitting a serious deficit in sensible temperatures, with the old rain bucketing it down! It can only mean one thing and thats the return off the infamous Yorkshire lads thread! So lets hear it, whats been occuring with you lads during the year, resounding success, or embarrassing failures? How you getting on at the moment? Or what are your fishy plans for the coming year? Any thing really, to keep the Southerners from taking over the forums! As we know what they can be like........! Regards Roman Buczynski

Seriously though, i've had an amazing season but now i have to work (Yah, Booo, Sucks) to pay for next years bait. Will have a few days out on me old favourite local lake. There's a 20+ linear in there thats older than me that i've not caught yet.

We were still catching up to a fortnight ago but i must be getting soft in my old age cos it seems like hard work at the moment. I have decided to have a change for the next month or so and do some piking just to refresh the old batteries. Then i will be up and at em again on my decided new water for next season.You know where i am going and it is supposed to be a proper water containg some proper fish - i just wish everybody would stop writing about it in carpworld or the bloody place will be crowded I've also got a trip to france all sorted for March. I'll see you at the Carp society meetings - not sure of the dates yet but i understand they have lined up Jacko and the Korda lads. Healdy

However once the tough gets goin, i might sneak down there! However i am really up for givin some of our better waters a serious bash, as soon as i'm driving, which should be before the fishing starts to improve. I too am giving piking a bash, mainly because i think i'v e found an ultimate place, and also as my PB is quite low, and i fancy a decent snapper. Roman

Alright all, Unfortunately I live in York, so I have to travel to get into the fish, so this time of Year I have resigned myself to catching pike on the ouse. Joined a syndicate last Year had loads of 19's eventually catching a 21lb. I am off to Boux in June which is about a 3 million mile round trip from up here. Decided to have a go on 3 Lakes when the lakes thaw out up here in July, so any pointers always appreiciated!!!!!!!! All the Best Dan

So much for the big feed-up before winter, just never seems to happen at all anymore. Stick to your economics, much more interesting . So are you brave enough for a full winter on the Leeds pit ?? .....all those winters of miserable blanks on there are keeping me away ! and with the weed still making 80% of the lake unfishable options are somewhat limited. I wondered whether any of the 'Yorkshire Lads' fishing Yorkshire waters - that rules you out Roman - have had successful winters? Is it worth the effort - I'm thinking of digging out my pike gear for next year. Healdy

Early saturday morning on the water 2 people had tackle stolen as they fished, 1 guy had a marker rod stolen and another a complete set up (3 rods, reels, buzzers and pod) This kind of theft must can only have been comitted by an angler. SAD B######S .
