Pual saying it that way is legal for slander and i am sure after the obvious shown public interest it can not be construed as deformation of charicter or invasion of privacy. You tell me why i can't post the name of the above ? in such a fashion on your site as i believe that all you would have to do was pass on my details to the police. I would not like to see ? wriggle his way out of this and some-one has to put thier arse on the line. If the above is not good enough i could put, i believe the person in question is ? and have written this freely and of my own valition. No one ever got done for writting down what they believe.

That is apart from anyone and everyone who has ever been successfully sued for libel.

I'll have some of what you have been drinking

Tony you have absolutely no understanding of the libel laws. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the police..it is a civil matter.

I remember being at a Carp Society Steering Committee meeting some years ago - just prior to a major libel case - in fact, the only one in carp fishing history. Several members of that committee were due to give evidence (and did so, including Les Bamford and Alan Atkins), and were extremely confident of winning the case and getting their man...I think everyone knows what happened.

As I've said before if ECHO have not got the conviction to name the person publically, then I'm not about to put this site at legal risk.
That would be completely irresponsible. I teach law for a living, by the way...

Would there be any point naming the names on here when we all now know who it was already, allegedly

I would like to see a full explaination of this French common law which allows the natives to take fish from public waters for "personal use".
That`s just gotta cover a multitude of sins.
