Piers just so i can point the secutary and cheque book at this post in the morning where and how much do i send becuase i personally believe I would rather be counted now. I don't have a personal agenda on what i believe Echo should be just what it should not but after all its Echo that have changed and conformed not the opposition. Anything i can do now to further the cuase i will becuase Echo has a chance at being something that we all can be proud of and as carpers we need a Voice.
"Strawberry Fields Forever"
The lady was 24lb of long lean fully scaled mirror that i courted for at least 5 years, sometimes her golden brown shape would visit my swim but always it visited my dreams. After many years of hope and patience i overcame the most heart stopping of fights, i slipped the net under my bride for a day and I felt invinsible. Unfourtunatley the wedding photo's never came out except one of the fish alone on the mat, that one was enough, she was perfect. One day a fairly good goblin who owned the lake were I spent 5 summers of my early man-hood decided she was not big enough,....
......It was the day of the eclispe when my mate last saw her, i was not there, from his stories of a 18lb fully scaled mirror, i believed thier could be another fish unknown to me in the lake. When the photo's arrived I saw the lady in a terrible state, her wedding dress was torn with sores and wield and her eyes looked as lonely and empty as death himself. She was thin and a desperate reflection of her former beauty and her gill covers were open in a silient attempt to breath, i felt sick!
I looked for her for the next couple of years waiting patiently in summers warm envelope by her favourite overhanging tree, she would almost take floaters from the hand if you were still enough. The dog biscuits bobbed around and just sank into the depths that was once her domain. Funnily photo's of new fish that i had no knowledge of were given to me and i saw clearly the sin that took her from me and from the world. Even though i can still see her if i concentrate hard enough the lady went before her time becuase she did not live up to peoples expectations of what she should have been. She was perfect and i know much about who was responsible for the plague that took my 1st true love, and in time i will avenge her, but thats personal.
