Great old pics, just need a wee write up to go with them as it would be nice to know some details.

Cheers

Weight was around 26ish. Caught from a water in cheshire in July 1974 during a 24 hour trip. The bait was moulded paste and crust pad on a free running lead setup. Note the camo canvas brolly and canvas side skirts all home made. The tackle from memory was two North Western home made S29 1 3/4 lb 10 foot glass rods, two modified Mitchell 410's, two modified heron bite alarms, and also note the BCSG landing net with ash wooden arms. We had to make the bulk of our gear ourselves back then. The landing net and 410 reels are still in my garage today. Happy quiet times with lots of uncaught carp about.

The place in question did produce a 27 12 around that time and was/is a stunning looking place. Another water which was a not a million miles from the previous was a horrible looking place and did a 30-04 and a 30-08 at this time (This water now looks well but aint got the fish no more):( Sad

Bebb,
Do you know if anyone has the pics of the 30's? I have always wanted to see them, that lake had some lovely fish in it when I was a young lad. I missed those two but still managed to fish it when 20's and upper doubles (big fish then) were 10 a penny !!

Harv
Steve Kennerley who lives by the water in question might put you on to them.
I have one or two but they are not of the big fish.
Must scan the photo's sometime and let you have a look.
