I can see the laudable reasons for stocking with wild carp Saul, but if I controlled the water I'd be looking to re-stock with a good strain of mirrors-only.
That would ensure the future in terms of finance and thus control, plus provide big future Scottish carp!

Hi Paul
I know you know the history of Danskine loch and I'm sure you realise why we stocked these old strain fish.
We also know that most anglers these days just want big fish and don't care about the history of the waters so we are also stocking some fast growing mirrors this winter, but we are staying away from the boring simmo type fish and going for some fish that are mainly fully scaled and linears.
